Integrated Psychotherapy Discussion Group
Hi all,
Many of you who read these posts are both practicing psychotherapists (counselors, family therapists, etc.) and are also practicing Christians.
It can be difficult sometimes to know how to be both. A few of my colleagues and I are interested in pursuing understanding what it means to be a faithful, congruent Christian in this profession.
We would like to develop a place where we can pursue a greater understanding and identity as integrated Christian therapists. We would like to explore questions like:
What is integrated Christian psychotherapy?
How does it influence the way we show up in the room with clients?
How do we continue to practice ethically with clients from diverse religious backgrounds?
How do we grow in and develop into more mature integrated therapists?
And more questions we haven’t even thought of yet.
We also want you to join our conversations.
If you are interested in dialogue, development, and perhaps even community that centers around these themes, contact me to let me know. I’ll keep you in the loop about the development of these meetings, and get your feedback on best availability.
